THERE’S A SMALL TOWN IN FRANCE THAT, EVERY WINTER, IS TAKEN OVER BY SOME OF ZANTE’S LONGEST STANDING AND MOST LOVED WORKERS.
That town is Tignes, and the bar owned by Rich Waumsley, Adam Fisher, Charlie Walsham and Gary McKie is known as Le Moose.
Rich and Adam started in Zante back in 2008 where they ran the pool bar at the Tzante hotel, by 2012 they had built some great relationships on the island and everybody spoke very fondly of them. This was their time to branch out, and they created the well known party place ‘Cheeky Tikis‘ opposite CherryBay at the beach end of the Laganas Strip. The place was famous for it’s outrageous drinking implements, it’s wild staff and unadulterated banter throughout, a real favourite with workers and tourists alike.
As expected, Cheeky Tiki’s was a hit from day 1 and by the end of 2013 the boys had outgrown their venue, they moved up the strip and transformed what was Pink Panther into the current Cheeky Tiki’s.
Summer seasons here in Zakynthos can be pretty short for a bar owner, so the boys, having picked up Gary (The islands’ best PR by a country mile) en route, they set out to open their own place in a ski resort and continue the party.
Le Moose has now been under the lads management for 2 years and is going from strength to strength, also employing some Zante workers along the way. They have proved that the sun doesn’t always need to be shining in order to live the dream, and what a fantastic idea… Zante by summer, Tignes Ski Resort by winter.
WhatsOnZante wish the lads the best of luck for many years to come!
